If this is your first website, you don't need to know anything about domains. We explain our recommendation in plain words, you say yes, and we register it in your name. Premium domains (names a reseller is selling for hundreds of dollars) are not included, but we tell you right away if a name falls into that category – and usually find an equally good free alternative.

What happens after the first year?

Domains are always rented year by year – nobody can own one forever without renewing it. After the first free year you pay only the registrar's renewal price (for a .com typically around 10–12 USD per year). We don't add anything on top. Because the domain is in your name, you can also move it to any other provider at any time.

Your domain powers more than the website

The same domain gives you your own email address (you@yourbusiness.com) and is secured with a free SSL certificate. It is connected to our free hosting, so your site loads quickly all over the world.

Is the free domain really free?

Yes, the registration for the first year is included in the 99 USD. From the second year you pay the normal renewal price of the registrar, without any mark-up from us.

Can I take my domain with me?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name. You can transfer it to any registrar whenever you like – we even help you with the transfer code.
